Shape
The kind of shape that works for you depends on the size of your space and what type of entertaining you are going for. A square is the ideal shape for small gatherings. If you want the classic fire pit experience where you’re able to see everyone all around, go for the circle. If you like the functionality of a fire pit that can become a place for dining or just chilling, choose a rectangle.
Height
19″ is the lowest height but goes well with seating patio furniture sets.
24″ This is perfect for chatting around the fire. Not too tall, not too short.
29″ This the idea dining height. You can fit chairs comfortably with this height.
38″ Counter height is ideal for high bar stools or standing guests.
